Mix and apply to the seam
Taftbond Solid Surface Adhesive is two parts mixed 10 to 1. Apply it to the clean, lightly abraded edges, then bring the two sections together.
Colour-matched, near invisible
It is colour-matched to the slab and self-levels, so the joint is nearly invisible. It fixtures in 20 to 30 minutes.

Seam disappears on the top
On the finished worktop the colour-matched, self-levelling seam is nearly invisible, so the surface reads as one piece.
Structural strength
The two-part methacrylate builds a 280 to 420 Kg/cm bond on solid surface and holds across a -34 to 121°C service range.

Frequently asked questions
It is formulated for the solid surface industry: solid surface (Corian, HiMacs, Staron, Avonite), quartz surfaces (Silestone, Caesarstone, Cambria, LG) and natural stone such as granite and soapstone.
The adhesive and activator are mixed at 10:1 by weight and volume, usually dispensed through a static mixer from a cartridge. Working time is 10 to 15 minutes and fixture time is 20 to 30 minutes.
It has a working time of 10 to 15 minutes and a fixture time of 20 to 30 minutes, reaches functional strength in 1 to 3 hours and full strength in 24 hours, per the Vitrochem TDS. Cure is at room temperature, so no oven or lamp is needed.
The cured methacrylate bond has a service temperature range of -34 C to 121 C per the Vitrochem TDS, which covers normal indoor solid-surface and stone installations.
On solid surface materials the bond reaches about 280 to 420 Kg/cm of strength, and on quartz surfaces about 210 to 281 Kg/cm, per the Vitrochem TDS. The toughened formula gives strong, durable seams.
Yes. It is colour matched to granite, marble, engineered stone, quartz and solid surface materials, and it is UV stable, so seams stay close to invisible and resist yellowing over time.
Part A has a 1-year shelf life and the Part B activator has 9 months, both stored between 13 C and 24 C per the Vitrochem TDS. Keep the cartridges sealed and cool until use.
It is supplied in a cartridge and dispensed with a manual or pneumatic gun through a static mixer, which blends the adhesive and activator at 10:1 as it is applied. This gives a consistent mix for an even bond line.
