Bonding to glass.
MightyLoc supplies adhesives and tapes qualified for bonding glass, including UV-curing adhesives (Krystal), acrylic foam tape (AFT), polyurethane sealant (Taftflex) and MS polymer (Taftgrip). UV adhesives are the usual choice where bond-line clarity matters.

For clear, high-clarity glass bonds, the Krystal UV range (1000, 2000, 3000) cures in seconds under a 365nm UV light source. AFT acrylic foam tapes list glass among their substrates and are used in signage and metal fabrication. Taftflex polyurethane sealants and Taftgrip MS polymer also bond glass and suit elastic, weather-resistant joints.
How to prepare a glass surface
For AFT tapes, clean and dry the glass thoroughly before application and remove all dust, dirt, oil, grease and residue, using IPA for general cleaning. For Taftgrip and Taftflex sealants, surfaces should be free of dirt, oil and other contaminants, and cleaning with a solvent such as acetone is recommended. Contaminated surfaces reduce adhesion.
Choosing a chemistry for glass
Krystal UV adhesives are best where you need a fast, ultra-clear bond and can apply UV light to the joint. AFT tapes suit panel and sign bonding where a foam tape can absorb expansion between dissimilar materials. Taftflex and Taftgrip suit flexible sealed joints rather than rigid structural bonds.
FAQ · GLASS
Questions about bonding glass.
For a clear bond, the Krystal UV range (1000, 2000, 3000) cures in seconds under 365nm UV light. AFT acrylic foam tapes, Taftflex polyurethane sealants and Taftgrip MS polymer also list glass as a bonding substrate.
Clean and dry the glass thoroughly so it is free of dust, oil, grease and residue. For AFT tapes use IPA for general cleaning; for Taftgrip and Taftflex, a solvent such as acetone is recommended before applying the bead.
The Krystal UV adhesives are designed for high adhesion and clarity and cure within seconds under a correct 365nm UV light source, which makes them suited to visible glass bond lines.
