Taftbond is a two-part, five-minute epoxy that mixes 1:1 by volume or weight and cures to a tough, transparent bond. It sets in about five minutes, and bonded parts can be put to use in under fifteen minutes, with minimal shrinkage and no whitening once set. Taftbond bonds metal, wood, glass, fibreglass, composites and most plastics, but not polypropylene, polyethylene, PTFE (Teflon), silicone rubber or polyamide. The fast set and high bond strength make it a practical choice for repair and assembly jobs at home, in the workshop, and in the car workshop.

Bond the break
Clean and dry both faces of the break, then spread the mixed epoxy thinly over each side. Press the handle back so a little squeezes out, and wipe the excess before it sets. The epoxy fills small gaps in the joint.
Align and hold
Position the part carefully while the epoxy is still soft, then hold or tape it square until it grips. The fast five-minute set keeps fixturing short, so you can move on without long clamping on small repairs.
Mix 1:1
Squeeze equal lengths of resin and hardener onto a clean scrap surface, then blend them to an even colour before applying. The 1:1 mix must be worked quickly, as it starts to set within a few minutes.

Bond timber joints
Dry-fit the joint first, then spread a thin layer of mixed epoxy over both clean faces. Bring the parts together and hold them square; the joint sets clear in about five minutes, so keep the alignment steady.
Model and craft
Apply the mixed epoxy thinly to clean, close-fitting model and craft joints. It cures transparent with minimal shrinkage, so turned and carved parts stay almost invisible. Wipe any squeeze-out before it sets.
Rejoin loose parts
Clean both faces, then apply the mixed epoxy to refit a loose wheel, peg or fitting. Press it home so a little squeezes out, wipe the excess, and hold it in place until set for a strong, weight-bearing bond.
