Letter returns
Abrade and wipe the mating edges, mix the two parts, and apply a bead along the return. Press the aluminium return to the face and clamp lightly while it fixtures, for a flush letter with no visible fixings.
Backer panel
Apply the mixed adhesive to the back of each letter, position the cluster on the steel or aluminium backer, and hold it square until set. The structural metal bond carries the weight with no visible fixings.

Metal fittings
Bond metal fittings, brackets and hardware to steel or aluminium structures where riveting or tack welding would be intrusive.
Deck rail base
Secure stanchion bases and metal deck fittings to steel or aluminium structures, spreading load over the full footprint.

Roof panel seam
Apply the mixed adhesive in a continuous bead along the roof seam, then set the metal cap onto the steel body. The bond spreads load across the full join and bonds cold, so there is no heat distortion.
Lower fascia
Attach metal lower fascia panels to the steel chassis substructure with a single continuous bead, replacing rivets and tack welds along the run.

Frequently asked questions
Mightyloc 9025 is a two-component methyl methacrylate (MMA) adhesive formulated for metal bonding, replacing mechanical fastening such as riveting and tack welding. It mixes 1:1 (Part A green resin, Part B red), bonds mild steel, stainless steel, galvanized metal, aluminium and magnets, and reaches a cured shear strength of 86 kg/cm2.
Mightyloc 9025 reaches a cured shear strength of 86 kg/cm2 on metal substrates, with high tensile and shear strength along with excellent impact, vibration and temperature resistance. This makes it a practical replacement for riveting and tack welding on metal joints such as stiffener-to-panel assemblies. Strength is PSB tested to ASTM D1002.
Mightyloc 9025 withstands continuous service temperatures from -40 C to +150 C with no loss of strength once fully cured, and tolerates brief exposure up to 200 C for no more than 20 minutes, for example in an epoxy powder-coating line. These ratings are published on the MightyLoc 9025 specification; confirm the limit for your specific assembly with the MightyLoc team.
Mightyloc 9025 has a pot life of about 5 to 8 minutes after mixing and sets to touch in approximately 15 minutes at 25 C. Full cure is reached at 24 hours. For best results, keep the bonded parts under clamped pressure for at least 15 minutes and avoid moving them during that window.
Mightyloc 9025 mixes 1:1, equal parts of Part A (green) and Part B (red) by both weight and volume. Apply an equal amount of each part directly to the bonding area, mix them evenly until homogeneous, then clamp the parts in position immediately. An uneven mix ratio may interfere with proper curing, so keep the 1:1 ratio consistent.
All surfaces to be bonded with Mightyloc 9025 must be abraded and cleaned thoroughly before bonding. Wipe them with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) or acetone, and make sure they are free of dust, dirt and grease. Do not use oil-based cleaners such as turpentine or paint thinners, as they interfere with adhesion.
Both parts of Mightyloc 9025 have a viscosity of 3000 to 5000 cps at 25 C, with a specific gravity of 1.16 to 1.18. Part A is green and Part B is red, and the two are mixed at a 1:1 ratio by weight and volume. The unmixed parts have a 6-month shelf life at 25 C without catalyst.
Mightyloc 9025 is formulated for a wide variety of metal bonding, including mild steel, stainless steel, galvanized metal, aluminium and magnets. Typical applications are stiffeners for elevators, cladding and facade panels, ferrite cores for transformers, magnets for speaker production, and other metal fixtures that require long-term durability.
Mightyloc 9025 has a shelf life of 6 months at 25 C in the original sealed container, without catalyst. Store it in a cool, dry place at 15 to 25 C, away from direct sunlight and open flame. Do not return unused product to the original container, and transfer only the amount you need for the job.
Mightyloc 9025 is supplied in three set sizes: a 200 gm set (100 gm Part A plus 100 gm Part B), a 2 kg set (1 kg plus 1 kg), and a 5 kg set (2.5 kg plus 2.5 kg). Each set pairs the green Part A with the red Part B at the 1:1 mix ratio. Contact the MightyLoc team to confirm current availability for your volume.
