Fast. Clear. Permanent

UV Adhesives

Krystal™ UV adhesive is a One-Component, cure-on-demand, acrylic based UV adhesive that will polymerise almost instantly when in contact with UV light source. Krystal™ UV adhesives are designed to bond glass, clear acrylic, polycarbonate, and substrates that require fast setting with permanent fixturing. The versatility of Krystal™ UV adhesive allows it to be used in the most intricate and complex applications for bonding where high clarity and good strength are needed and where most other adhesives and sealants are not able to fulfill. The signage and furniture industry is a good case in point where optically cleared adhesives like Krystal™ UV adhesives are regularly used for bonding its bonding strength and aesthetic appeal when fully cured. With Krystal™ UV Adhesive, it is available in Low, Medium, and High viscosity to cater to different application flow demands.

Frequently Asked Questions

UV cure adhesive is an acrylic-based monomer that is blended with a photoinitiator in the system for it to react and harden within seconds when being exposed to a UV or visible light of the source with the correct wavelength between 365nm - 435nm. Most UV adhesives work on the premise of "cure-on-demand".

Choose the right UV adhesive based on the requirements of the materials to be bonded, the strength needed liquidity or viscosity, and the purpose of the bonding application. The viscosities of UV adhesives range from very low (like water) to high (like maple syrup) and all can react with UV light to polymerise completely.

  • It is available in 1 Component.
  • 100% solvent free.
  • Fast cure when exposed to UV/Visible light source.
  • Cure-On-Demand
  • Transparent when cured.
  • Bonds most materials including metals (except for difficult plastics like PP & PE).
  • Room temperature stable for up to 6 months.
  • No white residue after cure.

For any bonding application like glass to plastic or metals, using UV adhesive can be a viable option. Given that UV adhesive will also bond strongly to most materials but on the condition that one of the bonding surfaces must be transparent. This is to allow the UV light source to activate the UV adhesive for polymerisation to resulting in the bonding effect.
