Product Description
TaftSpray 78 is a multipurpose sprayable synthetic elastomer adhesive that bonds to most lightweight materials when dry. It has high tack, good spray coverage, fast drying and low misting. It can stick to paper, felt, cork, wood, plastics, and most lightweight materials.
Typical Properties
- A high tack, high coverage fast drying, transparent adhesive for permanently bonding foils, carpeting and many lightweight foams, paper, cardboard, felt and cloth to painted or unpainted metals, wood, hardboards and other base materials.
- It provides high initial “grab” with sufficient open time to allow for positioning of materials.
- Low soak-in gives better appearance and higher adhesive coverage.
- Soft, non-dimpling glue lines.

Directions for Use
- 1. Surface Preparation: Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dirt, dust, oil, loose paint, wax or grease, etc.
- 2. Application Temperature: For best results the temperature of the adhesive and the surfaces being bonded should be at least 18℃.
- 3. Application:
- Shake can well.
- Turn spray tip so arrow points to dot on rim. (Note: Always point spray tip away from yourself and others.)
- Hold can 15-20 cm from surface to be sprayed.
- Make bond while adhesive is aggressively tacky.
- After use, invert can, depress spray tip until spray is free of adhesive.
- Clean spray tip with turpentine*
- 4. Bonding Range:
- 1 surface – 10 seconds to 15 minutes
- 2 surface – 10 seconds to 30 minutes
- Extra strong bonds – Spray both surfaces and allow a minimum of 30 seconds drying time.
Storage
Store product at 16°C – 28°C for maximum storage life. Do not expose product to direct sunlight or direct flame. High temperature may reduce storage life. Lower temperature may increase the viscosity of a temporary nature.
Shelf Life
This product has a maximum shelf life of 24 months from date of manufacturing.
